The Glencoe Crimson Tide had pretty much everything going for them Friday night at Hillsboro Stadium.

There was that suffocating and big-play defense. A stout running game. And of course, those timely play-action passes.

In the end, the Tide romped to a 35-6 victory over Century in both teams’ Northwest Oregon Conference opener.

Not only did Class 5A fourth-ranked Glencoe (1-0 in NWOC) remain perfect at 4-0 overall, but the Tide also avenged last year’s 13-12 loss to the Jaguars (2-2, 0-1) at Hare Field.
